The purpose of this license is to protect the associated work while
allowing a fair amount of freedom to use the work. In general, the work
is free for use given adherence to the terms of this license. If this
license does not meet your needs then you may contact the original
author, Robert Cummings, to purchase a business license.
A. Definitions
The following definitions are declared to maintain brevity and
clarity throughout the license. Other definitions may be found
outside of this section where appropriate:
1) "This work" is defined as any work or works that have been
declared subject to this license.
2) "Business" is defined as any of the following:
i) any person or organization that generates, or intends to
generate, revenue directly or indirectly related to using
this work -- including but not limited to individuals and
organizations operating on a not-for-profit basis (example:
a Web site using this work that also displays revenue
generating banner ads falls under this definition even if
such banner ads are not driven by this work);
ii) any government organization;
iii) any individual or organization working for the interests of
a business or government organization.
B. Agreement
This work may be distributed and used freely, with or without
modification, provided that the following license terms and
conditions are met:
1. All distributions of this work, with or without modification,
must contain a verbatim copy of this license and be subject to
the rules of this license.
2. All other works containing any part of this work, with or without
modification, must contain a verbatim copy of this license and be
subject to the terms and conditions of this license.
3. Any end-user documentation referring to a distribution as defined
by clauses 1 or 2 must include the following acknowledgement:
"This product includes software developed for the InterJinn
framework by Robert Cummings (http://www.interjinn.com)."
Alternatively, this acknowledgment may appear in the software
itself, if and wherever such third-party acknowledgments normally
appear.
4. You may not use this work in connection with any business.
Note: The spirit of this clause is to help fund the InterJinn
project. If you, your affiliates, or your organization are
generating revenue in connection with this work, then it is only
fair that some of that revenue be used to help advance this
project, and to some degree compensate the author for his time.
if you are a business then you may contact the original author,
Robert Cummings, to purchase a business license.
5. The following shall subsequently be known as "disqualifieds" and,
as the term suggests, are disqualified from using this work:
i) Any person, group, organization, etc. that is in any way
affiliated with, using the services of, or that in the
future uses the services of, the owners of the domain name
aztekcomputers.com. This shall apply for all past, present,
and future owners of the domain name aztekcomputers.com;
ii) Any person that has ever made use of, is currently making
use of, or ever makes use of, the email addresses
jeff@aztekcomputers.com and kinnare@aztekcomputers.com
(these guys refused to pay for contracting services on the
www.techbuys.com website after work was rendered back in
March of 2003);
iii) Any person, group, organization, etc. that has worked for,
is working for, or will work for the owners of the domain
name www.techbuys.com;
iv) Any person or group working for, or currently affiliated
with, the owner of the domain name webmotion.com (this
entry is personal, and by no means is associated with the
above disqualifieds).
In the event that any of the aforementioned disqualifieds have
come into possession of this work, they must immediately delete
all copies and instances of this work. They may not proceed to
view this work, distribute this work, or in any way make use of
this work.
6. The name "InterJinn" may not be used to endorse or promote
products derived from this work without prior written permission.
Written permission may be obtained from the original author,
Robert Cummings.
7. Products derived from this software may not be called
"InterJinn", nor may "InterJinn" appear in their name, without
prior written permission from the original author, Robert
Cummings. You may indicate that your software works in
conjunction with InterJinn by declaring "Foo for Interjinn"
instead of declaring "InterJinn Foo".
